Unfortunately, without knowing the specific details of the program and the user's computer settings, it is difficult to provide a specific solution. However, some general tips include adjusting the screen resolution, zoom settings, or font size in the program to make it fit better on the screen. It may also be worth contacting the program's customer support for further assistance.
I noted that HomeBase is 'optimized' for earlier versions of Windows. Will it work at all in Windows 10? If not, are there plans to make it compatible?

Yes, HomeBase will work on Windows 10. I've downloaded an installation package on Windows 10 x64 and continued with the install procedure. Everything worked well without issues.
The software offers the possibility to import projects from the HomeBase 2.3. If the software gives you an error when installing, right click it and choose Properties > Compatibility.
